Job Responsibilities:
* To carry out project technical/feasibility studies according to schedule, protocol, and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
* To establish and evaluate innovative ideas on new product and process development.
* To supervise laboratory technicians and coordinate factory trial runs.
* To analyse result statistically, record all the information and write reports for the project.
* To practise the Quality Systems adopted by the Company and to conform to the regulatory requirements, wherever relevant to company business.
* To acquire job-related knowledge continuously for job performance improvement.
* To follow Safety, Health and Environmental procedures and to conform to the regulatory requirements, wherever relevant to company business.
* To protect confidentiality of information related to the company work such that no unauthorized person could access to it
* To plan and execute technical study for new and modified products/processes
* To ensure that all Design and Development Control procedures are being adhered to by subordinates
* To sign SOPs, validation protocol and validation report in the absence of the Module Director.
* To direct laboratory technicians on experimental studies.
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor or Master’s degree in chemistry/material/polymer science/engineering or equivalent
* Good academic record on related subjects
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Preferably 1-2 years working experience in rubber manufacturing or research environment
* Knowledge in Safety, Health and Environment (S.H.E.) requirements as stated in the Company S.H.E policy
* Knowledge in analytical techniques relevant to latex industry
* Knowledge in computer software application, e.g. Microsoft Office
* Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English language
* Knowledge in Quality Systems adopted by the Company and regulatory requirements
* Ability to analyse data using statistical tools
* Knowledge in Project management
* Ability to lead the technicians.
