(Sabah – Based in Kota Kinabalu)
Job Responsibilities:
* Responsible for all nurseries and landscaping matters within the group of companies.
* Maintains and improves production and stock plants through accountability and awareness of plant specifications, and propagation timing.
* Assesses plant health and provides for plants cultural needs via daily inspections, scheduling, and implementation of cultural practices.
* Oversees, coordinates, and manages the production and propagation of all plant material.
* Manages the supply inventory and purchases supplies.
* Upgrades present management system.
* Uphold the highest standard for quality nursery product. Ensure proper watering, pest control, fertilization, and pruning occurs as needed.
* Planning, developing and maintaining landscape for all properties within the group of companies.
* Ensure that landscape developments are suitable for their intended purpose and advise on the long-term care and development of the landscape.
* Managing a portfolio of landscape maintenance, maximizing customer satisfaction and coordination of personnel, equipment & facility resources, and employee training & development.
* Raise crops, plan strategies for maximum yield.
* Possess the technical and practical competency for agriculture/horticulture.
* Arranging the maintenance and repair of the landscaping, nursery, buildings, machinery and equipment.
* Understanding the implications of the weather, and making contingency plans.
* Maintaining knowledge of pests and diseases and an understanding of how they spread and how to treat them.
Job Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture or equivalent.
* Must have at least 5 year(s) of working experience in landscaping, nursery, property maintenance or equivalent.
* Capable of dealing with contractors, managing agents,tenants and workers.
* Self-motivated, able to work independently, positive, proactive and able to prioritize task.
* Able to supervise the team of landscaping, nursery and gardening staff.
* Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
* Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
