(Kuala Lumpur – The Gardens, Midvalley)
Job Responsibilities:
* To book all prior month adjustment entry (if any) with proper supporting documents/ analysis/ finding/ request from authorized person, in both English and Chinese as needs to service customers in China.
* Ensure all transactions are approved and in line with GAAP and corpose policy.
* Ensure compliance to USGAAP and local statutory requirement while meeting market needs.
* Monitor and reconcile stock/ inventory (actual vs system).
* Perform cost allocations cycle to all Asia Pacific market for all support function.
* Ensure all invoices are posted and reconciliation are properly done by AP/ AR team.
* Responsible to prepare all reports/ supporting to feed Business Consolidation System.
* Responsible for safe keeping and filing of all journal entries/ reports/ financial statements/ all month end supporting with proper indexing.
* Responsible to prepare and submit quarter report to Steelcase International in timely manner.
* Work on other projects assigned by the Accounting Manager.
* Maintain and assist to improve General Ledger processes/ reports/ analysis by recommending leaner or efficient process or leverage best practice from others.
* Support other team members when needed.
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Business, Accounting or Econimics.
* CA or CPA is preferred including GAAP understanding.
* Required skill(s): MS Excel, SAP, GAAP.
* At least 5 to 7 years commercial experience, with regional experience is a plus.
* Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skill, both in English and Mandarin (mandatory as needs to service customers in China).
* Ability to interpret and draw conclusions from financial/business information; able to review a proposal or transaction and determine the future effect on business.
* Demonstrates ability to analyze situations and make decisions; able to develop alternative courses of action based on logical assumptions.
* Able to coordinate people and promote teamwork and working effectively as a group.
* Anticipates and takes initiave to identify concerns and recommend action; able to interact with the internal and external customers as a business partner.
* Good understanding of operations and cost systems/procedures and ability to comprehend and resolve complex issues.
* Full time positions are available.
