Job Responsibilities:
Job Purpose
The candidate will be dedicated to developing routine tests, and coordinating the
testing effort. This position will work with Developers, Project Managers and Product Managers to develop, maintain, and execute quality assurance testing procedures
Key Responsibilities / Activities
1. Testing:
• Producing test cases and test scripts based on requirements and supplementary documentation.
• Conducting functional, regression and operational testing of changes, upgrades and new applications
• Co-ordinating and assisting users with user acceptance testing and developers with system testing
• Working closely with the Software Development and Project Management teams.
2. Software Releases:
• Align release requirements to Release Policy
• Input into release plans for change managements and projects
• Assemble all release components into Release (inc user documentation)
• Co-ordinate roll-out scripts as necessary
• Liaise with Business Analysts as necessary
• Execute Release Plans
3. Analysis:
• Review project documentation to gain an understanding of how software needs to be tested in order to create and document test plans/scripts,
• Perform testing of support fixes/minor enhancements/project enhancements and guide the business in the execution of User Acceptance Testing.
• Identifying, documenting and verifying user and business requirements for business processes and applications changes.
4. Documentation: Producing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for the management and reporting of bugs, defects and quality issues in software projects. Also compiling all release documentation into the standard release documentation
5. Data: specifying test data requirements and environments for applications, validating and loading data as appropriate.
6. Application Services Team: contributing to the effective ongoing development of the Application Services Team.
Job Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master’s Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
* Experience of using test automation software desirable
* ISEB Software Testing foundation level – Desirable
* Experience of ITIL
* Good understanding of IT and its application in a business environment
* Ability to plan and manage own workload
* Higher education qualification preferred, but not essential
* Have a breadth of general IT knowledge and software engineering
* Required language(s): Chinese, English
* At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Applicants must be willing to work in Jln Yap Kwan Seng (Nearby KLCC area).
* Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Quality Control/Assurance or equivalent.
* Full-Time positions available.
