In line with this, PETRONAS Research Sdn Bhd is seeking distinguished researchers to lead and drive in depth research and development activities that will create and maximize value returns to the PETRONAS Group.

(Kuala Lumpur, Selangor)
Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning and execution of projects on the provision of research services pertaining to commercial fuels and bio-based/renewable fuels products development and applications, fuel additives development and performance assessment.
* Identify and propose commercially viable projects adapting feasibly known or new approaches in fuels and bio-based/renewable fuel technology for high performance fuel product formulation, commercial fuel product development and fuel additives performance evaluation.
* Supervise provision of lab services for projects executed through emplacement of best practices in the application of fuel analysis and testing.
* Provide solutions and advice in technical services and laboratory service works related to the commercial fuel product development, bio-based/renewable fuels product development, additive packages, field trouble shooting, quality monitoring and additive technology application.
* Identify and recommend solutions to problems that arise in terms of practices and procedures in own skill area or other related areas of the Fuel Chemist Skill Group.
* Identify and recommend key technologies which are relevant and strategic to the PETRONAS global business plan and the subsequent research and technical consultancy services to be initiated and implemented.
* Innovate and introduce enhancements to methods and techniques for increased efficiency of project activities
* Provide training and coaching in own area of expertise.
* Ensure that HSE and security measures are strictly followed
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Master’s Degree or Doctorate (PhD) in Chemistry-Organic/Inorganic/Analytical, Polymer Science/Polymer Engineering, Microbiology, BioTechnology, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Material Science, Tribology, Molecular Biology, Geophysics/Geochemistry, Petroleum Engineering/Petroleum Chemistry, Statistic or equivalent.
* Interested to do research in the above mentioned areas.
* Currently pursuing / holder of MSc or Ph. D. (by research) and related to research areas
* Produced any publications or Intellectual Properties (IPs) related to the areas mentioned above.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interface at all levels of management and external parties.
* Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status currently residing / studying in the United Kingdom.
