Job Requirement:
Job Responsibilities:
* To oversee the test activities carried out in the lab.
* To plan & ensure that the tests are carried out as per documented procedure and relevant standards (IEC, ASTM, etc).
* To ensure that all the required consumables, equipment, rigs, etc. needed to run the tests are available and sufficient.
* To ensure that the tests are performed as per the schedule / dateline.
* To advice relevant departments/teams on the test requirements and counter measures.
* To review the test results and post them to the designated NPD Job ID.
* To ensure that the technicians maintain the housekeeping of the lab at all time.
* To comply with safety and health requirements at all time.
* To liaise with suppliers on rigs and equipment issues / ordering.
* To liaise with UK counterpart when required on test matters.
* To write and review test DTM’s and implementations.
* To plan and control the consumables to ensure inventory is always kept at minimum.
* To maintain the rigs and equipment in the lab ensuring that they are within the calibration period and in good condition.
* To plan for the activities in the lab when there is no test schedule given by Line Manager (i.e. no test request or Gauge R&R study to be done).
* To notify Line Manager on any outstanding issues in getting the tests completed.
* Other related tasks may be given in addition to the above main tasks.
Job Qualification & Technical Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics) or equivalent.
* Fluent in spoken and written English.
* At least 3 year(s) of working experience in an R&D environment.
* Highly motivated person with good communication skills and able to work within a team.
* Self driven with a strong focus on results.
* Independent & Integrity.
* Applicants must be willing to work in Senai.
* Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
* Preferably senior executives specializing in Engineering – Mechanical or equivalent.
